Billy is a builder who became an executive—not the other way around. His career started at a keyboard and moved through every rung of technology leadership before landing in operations. As President & COO at Spirit HR, he brings an engineer's mindset to a service business: every process is a system, every system can be measured, and every measurement is an opportunity to make the business run better.

His work spans the PEO/HR and healthcare SaaS industries, most often inside private equity-backed organizations preparing for their next chapter. The companies change, but the playbook rhymes: find the friction, simplify the system, and build the team that can carry it forward. That approach has helped guide multiple businesses to successful exits at above-market valuations.

What sets Billy apart is range. He is equally comfortable in a boardroom shaping strategy as he is in a workflow reviewing the process that's slowing a team down. He leads with operational rigor, builds through automation and data, and develops senior leaders who can carry the mission forward without him in the room.

Earlier in his career, Billy led major advancements in healthcare technology—pharmacy workflow, ePrescribing, inventory automation, and patient engagement—designing systems that served nearly half of the community pharmacies in the U.S.

He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of work, Billy is happiest building—whether it's a business, something with his hands, or memories with his wife of 20+ years and their two daughters.
